On Wednesday, the U.S. military released its annual Air Traffic Control (ATC) traffic map showing a slight increase in traffic volume in Tacoma since July 2014.
The traffic data, which was released by the Federal Aviation Administration, shows that Tacoma saw a slight rise in traffic on Monday, April 24 from its normal volume on Monday and Tuesday, April 25.
In 2016, the airport recorded an average of 894,637 passengers and 1,500 ground transportation passengers, according to the FAA.
It’s the largest increase of any of the U,S.
airports on Tuesday.
The data also shows a slight decrease in ground transportation traffic on Tuesday, May 1 from the previous day’s average of 1,611,964 passengers and 818,851 ground transportation vehicles.
In addition, the number of flights by the Air Force and Air National Guard increased on Tuesday as well.
